Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit tropado.com, reserve access, communicate with us, or use the Tropado service. It does not apply to websites and services operated by other companies, including Facebook, even when we link to them.

02

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Tropado:

  • Information you provide: your work email, phone number, messages, and any details you share when reserving access or contacting us.
  • Account and billing information: information needed to set up and support the service, manage a subscription, process payments, and maintain business records.
  • Service configuration: the Facebook groups you select, matching criteria, keywords, industries, locations, and alert preferences.
  • Monitored content: limited post content and metadata used to identify matching opportunities, such as post text, display name, group name, timestamp, permalink, and matched criteria.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referral source, and the date and time of a request.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the access reservation form.

03

How we use information

We use information to:

  • respond to access requests and communicate with you by email or phone,
  • set up, provide, maintain, and support Tropado,
  • monitor selected groups and deliver matching alerts,
  • manage subscriptions, payments, and business records,
  • protect the service, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot problems,
  • understand and improve how Tropado works,
  • comply with law and enforce our agreements.
04

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information in the following situations:

  • Service providers: companies that help us provide hosting, forms and email delivery, SMS delivery, payments, customer support, security, and professional services. MailerLite currently processes access reservation forms and email delivery.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or respond to a valid legal request.
  • Business changes: as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
  • With your direction: when you ask us to disclose information or otherwise consent to the disclosure.
05

Facebook group monitoring and AI matching

Tropado monitors selected public and private Facebook groups to identify posts that match criteria provided by a customer. A private group can be monitored only after its administrators accept a Tropado monitoring account.

Monitoring runs from Tropado's own accounts. We do not ask customers to connect their Facebook accounts, and we do not request or store their Facebook passwords or active sessions.

Automated analysis may be used to assess whether a post matches a customer's criteria and should generate an alert. This analysis is intended to filter posts, not to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on the people who wrote them.

Customers are responsible for using alerts lawfully, following group rules, and respecting the rights of group members. Tropado is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta or Facebook.

06

Cookies and technical data

Tropado uses a language preference cookie when a visitor manually selects the English site. This cookie is used only to remember that choice. Our hosting infrastructure also creates standard server logs for security, reliability, and administration.

The current landing page does not use optional advertising or analytics cookies. It loads fonts from Google, which may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Removing the language cookie may cause Tropado to select a language again based on your country.

07

Data retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods depend on the type of information, the duration of the customer relationship, security needs, and legal or accounting requirements.

You can ask us to delete your information. We may retain limited information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain security.

08

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use care when deciding what information to send online.

09

Your privacy choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information associated with you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal our response or to receive information about the categories of personal information we collect and disclose.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such message. Service and transactional communications may continue while you use Tropado.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Where applicable, an authorized agent may submit a request for you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a privacy request, email Tropado.

10

Children's privacy

Tropado is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

11

International users

Tropado and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

12

Changes to this policy and contact

We may update this policy as Tropado changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
